Welcome to AMI Resources Inc.
AMI Resources Inc. is a publicly traded Vancouver, British Columbia based exploration and development stage company. AMI's approach to success is to evaluate and acquire promising gold exploration projects either directly from the government or through purchases/options with other companies/individuals. AMI will assume the initial risks of mineral exploration and should a resource be outlined AMI will look to a producing company for either a joint venture or outright sale.

AMI through its wholly owned operating subsidiary AMI Africa Exploration Ltd. has elected to concentrate its exploration activities in West Africa with projects currently in Ghana and Niger. Ghana has a long history of gold production and a stable political climate, Ghana makes for an excellent country for mineral exploration on strategically located properties. Several senior and mid-tier mining companies such as Anglo Ashanti, Newmont, Goldfields, Golden Star and Redback have operating gold mines in Ghana. While Niger is a relatively new area for gold exploration Semafo has been successful in bringing the Samira Hill mine into production in 2004.
Strategic Location - Ghana
The North Ashanti Gold Project is located on the prolific Ashanti Shear System which is host to several producing gold mines, the biggest being the =100 yr old Obuasi Mine, just 50 km to the south.
Newmont's +7 million ounce Akyem deposit located approximately 25 km to the southeast of the North Ashanti Gold Project is scheduled for production in the immediate future.
With a current NI43-101 compliant near surface resource of over 327,000 oz and several additional identified gold zones the North Ashanti Gold Project has the potential for a multi-million oz gold deposit.
Strategic Location - Niger
The Deba and Tialkam properties which make up the Sirba Gold Project are located in Western Niger at the Burkino Faso border in the Liptako Administrative Region and the project borders Semafo's producing Samira Hill gold mine.
The Samira Hill mine is made up of several satellite deposits and has been in operation since 2004, with remaining reserves of 631,000 ounces and a 1,293,000 ounce measured/indicated resource. (Source: Semafo Annual Information Form Dec. 31, 2008).
Several large gold zones on the Sirba Gold Project have been identified during previous exploration programs, Barrick Gold Corporation conducted a drilling program in 1998 and 1999, which was followed up by St. Jude Resources in 2004 and 2005. ( Samira / Libiri deposit )
