High grades encountered

Vancouver, B.C. - The Company wishes to announce some partial drill results from its 2007 drill program:

Southeast Parallel Zone - Some of the drill sample assays from the 16 holes drilled in this area have been received from Transworld Laboratory in Tarkwa. Preliminary results from 9 holes based on 4 metre composite samples returned some significant widths and grades such as 16 m of 8.65 g/t including 12 m of 11.17 g/t Au; 24 m of 1.35 g/t Au; 32 m of 1.12 g/t Au; 36 m of 1.1 g/t Au and 36 m of 1.00 g/t Au including the last 12 m of 1.92 g/t Au at the end of the hole. Additional results will be reported over the next few weeks.
Anuoro North Zone - A portion of the scheduled RC drilling in this area has been completed. This mineralized zone has now been extended to 900 metres in length. Twelve of the 20 holes in this area intersected mineralization, however due to problems with the drill rig and ground conditions 8 of these mineralized holes did not reach their intended depth. Preliminary assays on 4 metre composite samples returned some significant intersections such as 36 m of 1.25 g/t Au, 12 m of 1.24 g/t Au, 16 m of 1.53 g/t Au. Most of this mineralization occurs near surface and a number of these holes ended in mineralization. This zone remains open both along strike and at depth. More drilling is planned for this area.

The North Ashanti Gold Project straddles fifteen kilometers along the main Ashanti Shear and lies directly south of the Konongo Mining lease, approximately 20 kilometers west of Newmont's Akyem deposit and 50 kilometers northeast of Anglo/Ashanti's Obuasi Gold mine.
