All Gold Zones Extended
Vancouver, B.C. - The Company wishes to announce that it has received final results from the first 2,183m of its 2007 drilling program at the North Ashanti Gold Project in Ghana, West Africa. Significant intersections have been defined: 17m @ 7.00g/t and 42m @ 1.33 g/t open which have extended mineralised strike extents on all prospects drilled.

The objective of this first stage Reverse Circulation drilling is to extend along strike the near surface gold mineralization at the Southeast Parallel Zone, the Anuoro North Zone and the Beposo Resource Zone and to identify deeper diamond drill targets.

1. Southeast Parallel Zone - Mineralisation has been extended for 400m to the south and for 150m to the north, and remains open in both directions. Significant high grade intersections have been encountered in the southern extension drilling which will require further testing. A very steep sided valley has prevented further drilling to the north but it is planned to test this area with diamond drilling as soon as availability permits.

Sixteen RC holes for 1,297m were drilled in this area. Results from 1m composite fire assayed samples returned some significant intersections;

07BPRC079 72 - 82m, 10m @ 2.33g/t
07BPRC080 57 - 63m, 6m @ 1.15 g/t
07BPRC084 61 - 73m, 12m @ 1.10g/t
07BPRC085 21 - 49m, 28m @ 1.29g/t
07BPRC087 8 - 25m, 17m @ 7.00g/t
15 - 20m (including 5m of 16.85 g/t)
07BPRC088 58 - 73m, 15m @ 1.78g/t

Mineralisation is identical to that of the Beposo Resource Zone (+122,000 ounces to a depth of 75 metres), which lies 400m to the northwest and is expected to be a thrusted repetition of the same mineralised system. These results along with previous drilling intersections in the South East Parallel Zone clearly show that there are several very high grade shoots within the broader mineralised shear. Previously reported high grade intersections include:

05BPRC066 43 - 44m, 1m @ 11.84g/t
05BPRC067 69 - 76m, 7m @ 17.47g/t
05BPRC077 15 - 23m, 4m @ 4.22g/t

Field inspections are currently underway to assess the possibility of additional soil sampling to the south of the South East Parallel Zone. Previous wide spaced soil lines indicated mineralisation may continue to the southern concession boundary.

2. Anuoro North Zone - This round of shallow RC drilling has extended the Anuoro North mineralisation along strike to the north and to the south, with both directions open. Drilling has defined a broad zone of low grade mineralisation up to 70 metres in width extending for at least one kilometer in length.

The two holes drilled on the northernmost line produced a broad surface width of mineralisation which is open to the east. This drill line is 250 metres south of the Konongo Mining Lease boundary.

Of the twenty-one holes for 1,087m which were drilled over this prospect all, except eight holes, intersected gold mineralisation. It is clear that the Anuoro North Prospect contains significant gold mineralisation which drilling to date has not closed off either in strike or depth.

Results from 1m composite fire assayed samples returned the following intersections;

07ANRC101 1 - 43m, 42m @ 1.33 g/t open, including 10 m of 2.14 g/t
07ANRC104 18 - 30m, 12m @ 1.01 g/t
07ANRC106 0 - 15m, 15m @1.00 g/t open
07ANRC107 30 - 60m, 30m @ 1.19 g/t open

All mineralisation occurs in an intensely weathered granodiorite intrusion with shallowly dipping quartz veins towards the southeast. Unfortunately, due to bad ground conditions, many of the holes did not reach their planned depths. A diamond drilling program has been designed to test the depth extensions of the Anuoro North mineralisation. As soon as a multipurpose drill rig is available the diamond drilling work will commence and additional RC drilling will be undertaken to test along strike continuations.

3. Beposo Resource Zone - This round of drilling targeted possible northern strike extensions of mineralisation beyond the current resource. All the holes drilled intersected gold mineralisation over a strike extent of 300m. Six holes were drilled in this area for a total of 535 m. Some encouraging intersections from this extension were:

07BPRC088 58 - 73m, 1 m @ 1.78 g/t
07BPRC091 38 - 45m, 7 m @ 2.48 g/t.

Drill pads are now being prepared at all three locations with RC drilling to recommence this week and diamond drilling shortly thereafter.

The North Ashanti Gold Project straddles fifteen kilometers along the main Ashanti Shear and lies directly south of the Konongo Mining lease, approximately 20 kilometers west of Newmont's Akyem deposit and 50 kilometers northeast of AngloGold Ashanti's Obuasi Gold mine.
